If you want a smaller caliber handgun then you get one by jove. Don't let people try and force a large caliber on you if you are not comfortable with the idea. If you are one of the many who have no firearm for protection/range then a small caliber is indeed an upgrade. So you go right out and buy a smaller caliber this minute.
