Default buffalo bore

Heavy 10mm Ammo - 180 gr. Jacketed Hollow Point (1,350fps/M.E. 728 ft. lbs.)

Heavy 357 Magnum Ammo - 180 gr. L.F.N. -G.C. (1,400fps/M.E. 783 ft. lbs.)

Heavy .40 Smith & Wesson +P Ammo - 180 gr. F.M.J. (1,100 fps/M.E. 484 ft. lbs.)

250 FPS slower, and 244 pounds less energy. The 40 was first called the 10mm wildcat.

10mm can be loaded very close to .357

Heavy .41 Magnum Ammo - 170 gr. J.H.P. (1,650 fps/M.E. 1,028 ft. lbs.)

.41 mag spanks em both.

I love my 10, and my .41, but .357's seem to come and go

Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

Maybe you would want a 10mm because you like the challenge of locating hard to find, overpriced ammo.

It is readily available in my locality and I have never had a problem finding it. And what ammunition isn't overpriced?

The caliber has made such a comeback that I don't consider it an exotic or obscure caliber anymore. Frankly, where I live it is quite common and ammunition is available at most places one would find ammunition.

The cheapest I have seen 10mm for is $25.99/50box for junk ammo.

I get .380 50 box for $16.99

I get .40 50 box for $15.99

I get .38 special 50 box for $13.99

I would die before spending $25.99 or more on a box of ammo and $ isn't an issue for me.

What kind isn't overpriced you ask?

9mm FMJ /50 box at Cabellas for $8.99

Those look like Illinois prices. All of those prices are something Alaskan's wish we could see. Furthermore, I din't say 10mm wasn't expensive or even more expensive than others. I just said most ammunition is overpriced.

Where are you readily finding 10mm stuff? It's like chicken teeth in Wasilla.

Several stores in and around Anchorage carry it on hand regularly. I have seen it and/or bought it at Great Northern Guns, Ammo Can, Boondocks, Sportsman's Warehouse, Wild West Guns, Mountain View Sports, Fred Meyer, WalMart, Alaska Shooter's Supply, etc..
