I have 2 outdoor ranges and 2 indoor ranges I have access to and they are very nice. Because I am an instructor at one of the outdoor and one of the indoor ranges, I shoot for free and memberships are waived. Of course I use their firearms, because alas, as mentioned before in another thread, I lost all my guns when my boat turned over in deep water, when my wife hit some rough waves while she was going on a beer run. She's ok and the boat was savagable, but the guns are gone. I had all of them so I could let the in laws shoot some. I was noodling for catfish on the bank at Grand lake, at the time of the mishap, here in Oklahoma.

All I have to do is step out my back door & I'm on my range-1 of the advantages of living on a farm in the country.

I use public lands for the most part. BLM has a few nice ranges setup in the area. They've got one that's about 50 yards from the firing line to the hillside that acts as a backstop. They've got another that they refer to as the long distance shooting range. There's about 3/4 of a mile from the firing line to the hillside that acts as the backstop.

If I don't feel like dealing with people, I use some land that I own.

I don't own any land, so I go to a couple local indoor shooting ranges. I also have a friend that lives in the country that I can shoot my pistol at on occasion.

I may take you up on your offer some time, on a day when I have the time to make 3 hour round-trip drive and shoot. I bet you could teach me a thing or two (or 3 dozen) about shooting my pistol properly...

Yeah, I was ther last Saturday farting around with the iron sights on my M1A at the 100 yard range. Was pretty hot last weekend and nearly had the range to myself only a few bench guys next to me practicing and raloading. Next time out I'll have the scope on this M1A.
