Favorite for what?
For general range use and evil bowling pins: SA Trophy Match
Revolver? It's a bit of a tough choice. It's a toss up between the Colt Python & the S&W 627 PC.
Carry gun? DW CCO

For a number of years it's been my 1911. However, I recently purchased a S&W M&P9C for carry and that is quickly rising up the ranks.

Top 3 pistols:

Kimber Tactical Entry II 1911 in .45acp
Dan Wesson Pointman 1911 in .45acp
Kimber Classic Royal 1911 in .45acp

(are you seeing a trend here?)

#4 is a S&W1911PD - a great gun in a great line-up and it was #3 until I recently picked up the Royal.

Based on both the language of the OP and common English usage, "favorite" means your favorite for whatever reasons you might like them the most. Great shooters, sexy holster presentation, fantastic paperweights, a gift from your grandpa. Also based on the OP, he clearly asked for pistols, and you named two of the greatest of all time revolvers! (Which made me smile because I'm mostly a wheel gunner myself.)

I always carry my LCR but my best shooter is definitely my Springer Loaded. It is a great shooting gun.

It's difficult to pick a favorite. I've let go of a couple I wish I hadn't like a Colt King Cobra SS .357 and a CZ P-01. Currently, this would probably be my favorite...SIG P-229 SCT 14 rds. .40 S&W with Tru Glo sights.

My Para Ord LTC is my favorite overall for a carry weapon. But if I'm just shooting then a few fall into my fav funtime noise makers. I have what started as a 22/45 Ruger that I put a Tactical Solutions 9.5" Pac-Lite barrel on and a little 4x Leupold scope on that I just love to shoot. I shoot 22's more than anything being ammo costs what they are. I had just bought a S&W Mod. 28-2 Hwy Patrol revolver that I'm having a ton of fun with lately. And everyone knows I'm a 1911 fiend and have a few different ones.

para LTC

FrankenRuger

Well hell, there's a few "favs" I guess I don't really have one. If it wen tot trigger time though the modded 22 would get the nod.
