what's better a beretta tomcat or kel tec p32?

I'm looking for a new conceal carry gun. I carry a NAA .22 magnum revolver now but want a semi auto pistol to carry on some occassions. I'm looking at getting a new kel tec p32 or a used beretta tomcat....opinions?

Never owned a Kel-Tec. I do own a Tomcat and conceal carry it often.

Tomcat Pros - IMO Beretta is very high quality. The Tomcat's barrel releases and tilts forward to permit easy unloading of chambered round. It has an exposed hammer so the first shot can be either double action or the hammer can be cocked and fired singe action. All subsequent shots are singel action. It has a thumb safety so it can be carried in Condition One like a 1911. It is accurate at 25 feet. There are numerous hot .32 loads. I've never had a feed problem or eject problem shooting and .32 ammo. Conceals well IWB or pocket holster.

Tomcat Cons - Only 7+1. No slide lock on last shot. Sights suck.

Check the hammer spring on both guns. Review the problems with the P32 hammer spring, I have had them break. I lost confidence in Kel-Tec and sold the gun.

I have a Beretta Bobcat .22 and love it for a BUG, it is a little smaller than the Tomcat. I call it a get off of me gun, close range only 3-10' for me. I agree with elmerfudge, the sights suck but I don't use them on this gun. It is a shoot from the hip type of gun. The Beretta's are going to be a better quality gun than the Kel-Tec IMHO.

I would go with the beretta for sure!
I had a kel-tec and I did not like it at all'
I had all kinds of problems with it jamming and malfunctioning all the time, now I know that the beretta costs more but I have learned that when it comes to firearms you really get what u pay for, and it is worth it!

Thanks for all the comments. I've had a bobcat and it had a lot of jams and I always used CCI mimimags and stingers. That's why I was looking at the Kel Tec.

I have a Kel-Tec .32 for about 6 years or so and after 5 or 6 hundred rounds or so through it, I haven't had a single problem. My only issue is the heavy trigger pull, but I use it as a backup ankle carry so it's not my primary or go to gun if I was in a defense situation.

EiTHER WAY LOAD IT with corbon 60 gr hp rounds (1000fps out of those short barreled guns). plenty of power

I don't know about the Baretta, but Keltec owners tell me that the .32 will "rimlock" with hollow points. There are spacers you can get or make which go in the back of the mag to hold the HPs forward & prevent rimlock. But, must be removed to allow loading FMJ. Other wise, either all FMJ for defense, or chamber a HP with one other HP on top, then the rest FMJ.
