What is your primary carry gun and do you carry extra mags with you and if you do how many mags do you carry? Of course you dont carry extra mags if your primary carry gun is a revolver. __________________ American Gun Owners To bring Gun owners all across America together for Debates and Discussions:

Kimber Compact II with 1 mag in and another hanging out in my pocket. That gives me a total of 15 rounds. 15 shots is 15 bad guys. 15 bad guys is a really bad day, if I need to face more than that, I screwed the pooch and should have stayed in bed that morning.
The single stack magazine design and no BS action of the 1911 make it perfect for carry. On top of that, the 1911 has proven itself in more combat than any other pistol ever created. It was designed in and first fielded over a century ago and is still being used today in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is the "go to" pistol for many in the special operations and law enforcement communities. Last edited by matt g; 08-08-2008 at 06:15 PM. |

Primary CCW piece is the Nighthawk T3. Amazing pistol with all the features I wanted and more accuracy than I can squeeze out of it.
Primary SHTF sidearm is my Nighthawk GRP.
John Browning did it right to start with, and as Matt has alluded too, it hasn't stopped being THE go to piece for people in the know for over a Century.

Smith & Wesson, model 457, .45 caliber acp. I always carry at least one spare magazine.
Taurus model 617, .357 magnum, seven shooter. Sometimes carry gun when I'm in the mood for a revolver. With a revolver, I carry at least one reload, in either a speed loader, or speed strip.

Kahr CW9 with P3AT in pocket most times. My CW45 is beginning to get more travel time, though. |
