Default What is your go to weapon for home defense?

I got a little bit of everything, but always wonder what is the best to put next to the bed at night. Lately I've been favoring my Sig 2022 .40. It fits under the pillow just fine.

LOL. thats awesome

My favorite is a 9mm Ruger p94. I have that one close because its my oldest, most practiced firearm. (I can field strip her behind my back). I have other, more capable weapons, but none other that I am so comfortable with. Thats key. Any HD weapon or self-defense weapon of any kind is about reflexes.

I keep a Glock 19 with a rail mounted light on the nightstand, I've got no reason to hide it.

I agree on using a weapon your good with, comfortable operating, and one that is proven. I have a new AR pistol I built ,but I have not had time to shoot it,therefor it's worthless to me for HD. I have a friend who just picked up a 44 mag , he has never fired it , or a 44 in general , and uses it for HD? Some people just don't get it.

Any defense weapon is (should be) an extension of the body. Practiced movement and committed muscle memory are more critical than caliber. Always.

My Sig 226 is my go to bedside/around the house pistol. She shoots so well, like Forest Gump says,we're like carrots and peas.My Granddad used to tell me that any gun is better than none but when you can bring you're best.
