Jeff Cooper made the Super 9 based off that.
It's a 1911 that gives the performance of a 6" .357 mag

Completely agree with 357/38 in revolver!! I'm a 9mm freak, little cheaper and funnier to shoot!! Besides the fact I own 3!! No sweeter all around revolver than the 357!! I often carry a snub 357-

Bottom line -- for me -- I feel that a .45 will drop 'em dead quicker than a 9mm and (knowing that this will draw a **** storm down on me for a variety of reasons) -- the 9mm is okay for a "girls" gun.
What would you want to shoot 9mm for. Its only the most used and popular caliber pistol round in history. Used in both world wars the most used caliber world wide by police armies civilian shooters used by special forces to good effect including the British SAS. Every one has their own point of view but I find it hard to take seriously anyone that thinks the 9mm is not a effective caliber. I have a .45 but my favourite calibre is the 9mm and I am not a girl.

Still DNK why it matters to others what I think,

For centerfire:

Pistol-45ACP--

Rifle--30.06--

Rimfire--22LR--

Shotgun-- 12gauge--

-just personal preferences, based on my personal experience.

I recently have jumped on the FN 5.7 X 28 train. I prior to this have carried 9mm in the form or a glock 26, 40 in the form of H&K USP, SK2000, G22, Sig SP2022. I primarily carried a Sig Sauer 1911 in the goodnole 45 variety but this 5.7 offers rifle ballistics and capacity in a compact pistol package.

I trusted my life to FN products while in the infantry M249 and M240 bravo, no reason to turn my back on them now.....lol

I could not agree more!! 9mm is a wonderful round that is very popular with world class sharpshooters if you really want to get Macho I will bring my 44mag to the party and that dude loves to play with the .45's of the world!! It is a matter of taste and opinion!! Still love my wheel guns!! 357mag is the most Versatile caliber!! Give me six 158G HP and let me shoot first and I would win most gun fights!! Love that round and that gun!!
