Have you tried REMOVING the head with the round in question?

would it be wise to shoot .45 longs out of a .410 barrel that comes on a cricket type rifle?

Never afraid to shoot anything, however certain calibers and some manufacturers make me nervous.

I wont speak out [Glock] against any [Glock] certain one but [Glock] it has allot [Glock] to do with an [Glock] unsupported chamber.

However, the recoil of a McMillan TAC-50 looks like it would break my shoulder.

For all the talk about Glock .40 caliber pistols KBing because of less case support, I wonder how many of these actually happen?

The FBI & DEA issued Glock 23s the last time I looked, and haven't heard about massive numbers of exploding guns for all that Fed training. Local metro department here has been issuing Glock 22s for years, running 50 to 100 rookie officers a year through 2,000+ round training cycle in the police academy, and I can't think of a single KB.

Not saying it isn't a problem, just wondering how much of one when you consider how many Glock .40s are out there.

SGTDeath- No. Bad ju-ju.

Once fired a British Howdah Pistol- doubled barreled .577 Snider. Notice that I did say ONCE. Not each barrel once, but ONCE!

Never fired one of these below, and would not care to. The US Army Davy Crockett NUCLEAR Recoiless Rifle. Let's see now, the max range is..... and the lethal radius of the projectile is...... Ah, Houston- we have a problem....

I think I saw one of those at the Springfield Armory musium...according to the sign board next to it, the trick was only firing when the wind was blowing away from you (toward your enemies homeland)...wait, I think what I'm referring to was some sort of Haletzer <SP> with a 10 mile range. Whatever it was, it was an experimental weapon.

I think I've seen something about similar problems with that platform for chemical warfare applications too.

Hope the wind doesn't shift if you have to use one of these!

Jesse- the cannon was likely the 240 mm M 65 "Atomic Annie". And yes range was about 7 miles. Range of the Davy Crockett was much less- MAX about 5 km- roughly 3.1 miles. Joke used to be heaviest part of weapon was the firing lanyard- 5 miles of it!
