Default Wow, i didn't know this

i've doen some research and apparently the whole reloading game is different from what i suspected so now i'm thinkin' a nice glock 36 with the acp .45 shells.

can't go wrong with glock .
..o didn't think you could do a decent compact in a .45 but now i am pleasantly surprised . .

Google for rimfirecentral.com and for Ciener Firearms. Contrary to what most guys will tell you, the .22 units most certainly will function on the compact Commander and defender and officer's frames. they just have a longer stroke as the slide moves and there is an ugly gap between frame and slide, exposing the recoil spring.
don't see how i'd use those.
the only reason to use .22 pistol shells is if u wanna hide a gun in a body cavity to get it over the border o_0 .
that said, you can't go wrong with the NAA .22 in terms of quick-draw point-and-shoot it comfort / versatility of carry .

indeed, i'd want something in a hip or inner thigh setup to stay incognito
, but if it's just concealed not to freak out mental invalids, i'd prefer the pocket.
doesn't feel right to me, tho.

All things considered, size, weight, capacity, accuracy, ease of shooting, ease of maintenance, accessories and parts....

I don't think you can do better than the Glock 26.

In a very nice Blackhawk holster.

desert island gun, maybe. bury me with a revolver, but i'll go down with my semi-auto .
"Fall in love" will not be the term you will use after you try the DA trigger on a p11.
Try the PF-9.

As it happens a few months ago I was looking into Ecuador and guns... couple things I have learned(most of which is 6month-1year out of date):

While you can buy a gun there, it is virtually impossible to bring one with you.

Ammo is pricey and guns are pricey.

Quote:
$2000 for a used Glock17, $1000 for a used CZ or Taurus, a used Mossberg short barrel pumper - $700, a used custom made STI with optics - approaching that of a nice used car. You probably won't be able to find nothing brand new, as imports have been banned for more than 2 years.
Quote:
second grade reloads (9mm para, FMJ 124gr) from Santa Barbara ammunition factory at $16.00 per 50. A box of brand new first grade will run you $25.00. A brand name - $35-$40.
10 round mag limit on handguns.
9mm or .357 mag are max handgun calibers and no hollow point.

And their laws are constantly in flux(much like ours), their current administration seems to be increasingly anti-gun. Their current constitution was only ratified in 2008, and it is the fourth (I think) constitution since the return if civilian rule in the late 70's.
