Default What kind of gun is this?

I am trying to see if anyone knows what kind of gun this is, my grandfather used it in WWII to knock out some German's teeth, hence the chip in it. If you have any idea on the value or even just the year the gun was made and where it may have come from, I would greatly appreciate the info.

It looks like something from the 1800's. That's a good one to send to that dude Sean on Lords of War. He loves figuring that stuff out.

As for the Floburt, this looks a lot like it with the bottom of the butt and the trigger housing and hammer. The link is huge but it's just a picture;_ylt=A0PDoVwuuhVRa1kAjuaJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMT Q4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimage 2Bpistol%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701-14%26fr2%3Dpiv-web%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D110&w=800&h=533&imgurl= +Duelling+%3Cb%3EPistol+%3C%2Fb%3E19th+Century+%7C +The+New+Years+Day+...&p=parlor+pistol&oid=3445a1f ece82f7548eae03e80be3a655&fr2=piv-web&fr=yfp-t-701-14&tt=Flobert%2BType%2BRim%2BFire%2BDuelling%2B%25 3Cb%253EPistol%2B%253C%252Fb%253E19th%2BCentury%2B %257C%2BThe%2BNew%2BYears%2BDay%2B...&b=91&ni=200& no=110&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=12m9aabvn&sigb=13b36tb q3&sigi=123h3vs1j&.crumb=XNlCc9dRodj

Or this is a German Parlor Pistol;_ylt=A0PDoKuRuhVR2xEAVKKJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMT Q4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimage 2Bpistol%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701-14%26fr2%3Dpiv-web%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D140&w=640&h=480&imgurl= 30%2Fpalor%2520%25204.jpg_thumbnail1.jpg&rurl=http .cfm%3Fitemnum%3D9810730&size=41.1+KB&name=Guns+fo r+Sale+-+GERMAN+--+GERMAN+%3Cb%3EPARLOR+PISTOL+%3C%2Fb%3ESIDE+LEVER+ 22CB&p=parlor+pistol&oid=f3e417060fac3736059724823 ccd4727&fr2=piv-web&fr=yfp-t-701-14&tt=Guns%2Bfor%2BSale%2B-%2BGERMAN%2B--%2BGERMAN%2B%253Cb%253EPARLOR%2BPISTOL%2B%253C%252 Fb%253ESIDE%2BLEVER%2B22CB&b=121&ni=200&no=140&ts= &tab=organic&sigr=120h1168f&sigb=13b92q6m7&sigi=12 gmkleeg&.crumb=XNlCc9dRodj

Both have strikingly similar features
