Default What kind of gun is this?

I am trying to see if anyone knows what kind of gun this is, my grandfather used it in WWII to knock out some German's teeth, hence the chip in it. If you have any idea on the value or even just the year the gun was made and where it may have come from, I would greatly appreciate the info.

It looks like something from the 1800's. That's a good one to send to that dude Sean on Lords of War. He loves figuring that stuff out.

As for the Floburt, this looks a lot like it with the bottom of the butt and the trigger housing and hammer. The link is huge but it's just a picture

Both have strikingly similar features
