It would be a great, one shot finisher, but there is no real application I can see personally for taking a breech load, single shot into the field. I know guys hog hunt with them, but that is more balls than brains if you ask me.

I use the rifle version of that for coyotes in 22-250 and 243. I have the pistol in 243 and 410 as well.....just dont shoot it much anymore

Yeah, that too I remember. Especially using 500 gr. cast bullets. This thing was fitted with those rubber grips that abraded the web of my hand so much that after twenty rounds my had was bleeding from a raw blister. Never had anything to do with rubber grips again!

Yet another gun that did make my hand sore was a .45 Colt/.410 double derringer. This gun was stocked with stag grips and the palm of my hand was sore the next day. And the thing was totally useless, the barrels shot eight FEET apart downrange. And firing at a spent .30-30 case 7 1/2 yards away with .410 shell left the case still standing after ten shots.

An H&R 12 gauge , uhhhhh reconfigured into a pistol w/#4 high brass loads. I can still remeber the blood dripping off my buddies fingertips coming from his open knuckle wound opened by the trigger gaurd as he hands the uh pistol to me and says "your turn". It was all you could do to hang onto it.

Back around 50 years ago a old friend of my family had a 12 gauge side by side he made into a pistol. The trigger sear on left barrel was worn so if you shot right one first they both went off.You for sure knew you did bad when that sucker fired.

My SRH 454, 2.5" Alaskan was pretty stout with my homegrown 405gr Hard Cast hog loads. Off hand was fine but the last time I shot it from a rest it damaged my wrist. I can't shoot it any more so I sold it. I also had a little Cobra double brl 9MM that malfunctioned and fired both barrels of +P Corbons at the same time. That stung pretty good too.

My GP100 loaded with .357 magnums packs a pretty good punch.
