It looks like a Tokarev Type 54 with different grips.

IIRC, the 9mm barrels/conversions are hard to find now, and the Chinese 9mm models aren't exactly common either. Good find.

You can order the 7.62x25mm barrels and such if you want.

Yours has the manual safety; anybody know for sure if that makes it Chinese/Norinco? I think it does but am unsure.

My son-in-law has one of the Chinese 9mm versions with a safety but I don't know the history.
