Turkey is active in firearms mfg. It is more than likely a Turkish built revolver based on the S&W. The front sight and cylinder latch dont look like S$W.

According to the movie credits it is an unknown revolver. The movie depicts American troops in Iraq as abusive torturers trafficking in human organs. Times have changed but both my brother and I held the Turkish military in very high regard. That was a long time ago.

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Valley_of_the_Wolves:_Iraq

The one that imfdb appears to be calling "unknown revolver" is a different revolver, but the one in the OP does not get listed.

Movie sounds like a crapfest.

Well, it turned out that the revolver is Smith Wesson 686 6" Silhouette...

So Gh0zt36 was right.

JTJ and orangello: "Valley of Wolves" is a Turkish serie with more than 100 parts. But the same people also made a movie (with the same chracters). This gun is in the series not in the movie. The movie is entirely different.
