Well to be accurate, all of the Desert Eagles I have fired were not the most reliable guns either. But I would still like ot have one if the opportunity arises. I would also like to have the Automag. Why dream of only one when you can dream of both?

You guys should check out the .460Rowland drop in barrel system for the XdM .45ACP full size. It must be run with the comp that comes with the barrel to keep from beating the slide up. I've heard the ballistics are better than a .44MAG. I saw one in the flesh the other day and spent a little while fondling it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fire it, but I was very impressed by the drop in and the ammo.

Oh yeah! What am I thinking? They cam out with a .44 automag chambering a couple of years ago, didn't they? I wonder how that went?

The .475 Wildey Magnum first came to my attention during "Death Wish 1". Then there was one for sale at the gun show @$1250. My wife wanted me to buy it. I hesitated and someone else bought it. I have one live round of the ammo.

Soooooooooooo, this morning I stopped by a local gun & pawn to see if they had any Bersa Thunder 380's with the 15 round double stack magazines as a Christmas present to myself. No Bersa's in stock, but they had a Desert Eagle in 50. I restrained myself.
