Default what is a . 50 desert eagle good for?

It's heavy, hard to conceal, 7 rounds only capacity, etc.... .Ok, it looks very bas ass, especially if you point it at someobe. But tactically it is completely useless.Am I the only one who is missing the point of such weapon?

My buddy has an 8 3/8 in model 29. Huge, heavy, 6 shots, and bad ass. If all of our guns had to be practical, I would bet we would all have a few to get rid of.

This particular gun was originally meant as a target/hunting pistol.

It has never been marketed as a combat weapon. People assume it should be the badass savior of Weatern civilization because of Arnold and Bruce Willis. It was and remains a hunting pistol.

IMO, it has no real practical use for any uses i would ever really need a pistol for, but in reality, that would apply to many of the guns i own. i would enjoy shooting one, but i would probably not go out of my way to buy one.

but i wouldn't turn one down if the price was right!

1. Insane muzzle blast. Loud, hugh flash, a lot of fun at the range.

2. If you do your job, they have a 6 inch barrel, and are very

accurate.

3. You have to shoot something besides paper, at a private

range. THIS might sell you, the 50AE shatters, 'splodes,

and collapses stuff at a fantastic rate.

4. They will hunt, and take down large game, at 50 yards,

further, if you scope them, and calculate for bullet drop.

5. If you are a big guy, they feel really good in your hand.

That's all I can think of, at the moment. But yeah, the DE,

pretty much in .357, .44, or 50AE is a guilty pleasure gun.

A side note, the felt recoil, due to inherent counter-weighting,

strong recoil springs, and the auto-loading, is considerably

less than a .50, or even a short barreled .44 caliber

revolver.

what is a . 50 desert eagle good for?

Would you continue to climb through the window of someone's house if you saw the owner pointing one at you?
