The latest G&A "Handguns" Magazine (Apr/May 2010) did a .380 shootoff and the PK 380 was one of the guns tested--you may want to check that article out. It seemed to do fine in their test.

jdb, just out of curiosity, did you try CCI Mini-Mags in the p22. We been running them in the Walthers and the Sigs with much success. These also work better on some of the conversion kits.

im not sure about the cci mini mags, i just tried the cci brand this was about 2 years ago. when i went to let my gun shop know i was having problems with it feeding they told me it was probably "cheap ammo" and sold me some cci. the thing is now my wife picked up walther p-380 today and loved the way it felt but i was worried about the previous walther i had. i guess ive been lucky out of all the handguns ive owned ive only had 2 give me any trouble.

Were selling many of the PK 380 and no complaints as of yet, although, I have not shot one yet. I find it very important when outfitting someone with a firearm/weapon that it feels good in your hand with the proper grip. If it doesn't fit like a nice pair of slippers, your probably not going to be happy with it.

Just for grins, ask your buddy to try the mini mags and let me know how they preform in your p22.
