Get a good semi auto like the Benelli M-4 or Remington 1100 tactical. They will definitely give you the warm fuzzies!

10 mm caseless pulse rifle with grenade launcher. If it works against aliens, I think it is perfect for zombies.

Nice try:

Then again if zombies do attack:

Its a 45-70 5shot single action magnum research BFR. Its companion gun is a marlin 45-70 guide gun. Bad part is no carbide dies for 45-70.

If SHTF, I would want to be armed well enough to defend, but not looking to be offensive in nature, I would look for minimal arms to have to carry and stock rounds for that are adequate for the task but not overdoing it.

Based on that, I would grab my Beretta M9 and my Ruger PC-9 Police Carbine with 4x Scope for me as they both use the 9mm round, and would give the Wifey my Mark 1 Ruger .22 pistol and my Marlin .22 bolt action rifle for her to carry. That way we can use small bore arms for 'utility' stuff such as hunting squirrels and such, yet still have a weapon with a formidable round for defense, and both rounds are readily available and easy to carry. Although I may be convinced to carry my S&W 681 .357 in my waistband as a backup... Can't beat it for simplicity and reliability....

PC-9

Marlin .22

In no particular order and chosen for versatility and reliability:

1). Colt 6920 or 6720. Adding a 22lr conversion kit could add even more versatility.

2). Glock 17

3). Remington 870 or Mossberg 500

4). Remington 700 in .308

5). Any S&W.357 magnum with a 4" barrel or greater

The AR is perfect for mid range firefights, large packs of zombies or looters, parts are widely available and the .22 conversion kit could allow for small game hunting.

The G17 is durable and reliable and the 9mm cartridge is extremely common. Great for personal protection, CCW and the light weight of the 9mm cartridge would allow you to carry more ammo.

Basically any good 12ga would do, these are just two of the most common pumps.

The .308 would be great for deer or other large critters.

The .357 offers stopping power and the possibility of using .38 spl as well.

A good machete and a compound bow would be great, too.
