Default Taurus warranty work

Has anybody had to send in their Taurus for warranty work? I sent out my M85 8 weeks ago and it's still not back. Another reason why Taurus will never get a cent from me ever. Just sayin

Default Taurus Repair

I had to send a taurus revolver for service last year. It took about 6-7 weeks from beginning to end. They did some extra work on the gun, also free, so the wait wasn't too bad. My son had an issue with a PT1911 and had to send it to the repair facility. About 5 weeks, and they threw in a new magazine for his trouble. In short, it is not blindingly fast, but the work was done well and there was no problem getting Taurus to honor their warranty.

Frustrating to have issues with any weapon, but problems with mechanical devices are inevitable. Good luck!

They are on the slow side but they replaced a 19 year old very used PT22 that broke. My 92 was another story. The 2nd time it came back I traded it back to the dealer.

I sent in an old 26 years old 94 last year that I had worn out the fireing pin. had it back in 2 weeks .

Call and see whats up and ask about turn around time first. I depends more on how many firearms come in at the time . They do have a limited amount of people to fix them.
A local had to send in a s&w custom shop revolver and it took 6 weeks to get it back.

I had a buddy of mine send in a Taurus revolver and he had awesome service. All the work was preformed for free, he had back in 2 weeks from the day he sent it, and they even paid all the shipping costs...

Give 'em a brake, they do have a heavy work load.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Yeah, I guess patience is not one of my virtues. Although that is something I'm working on daily. Even at the tender age of 40

If they built the guns better, they would not have a heavy work load.
