Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro .45 ACP
I have owned Glocks & 1911s in the past and currently own both a Taurus Public Defender & PT-1911.
I would like to own a smaller .45 ACP( with a higher capacity than a Bond Derringer) and it looks like Bersas are as scarce as Hen's teeth now.
I know there is very little love for Taurus here but I can't afford a Para,S&W or a Glock right now.
Is this Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro .45 ACP a good option for ankle or pocket carry?

Come on, if your really going to go that cheap i would suggest to you a BB gun. I would suggest for you to go for a Glock, it'll run you about $80 more depending on which one you get, but if you buy used you could probally meet your price range. Anyways, Glocks are indestructable (Almost) and buying a used one is way better than buying that Taurus you suggested, and if you do go through with getting Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro .45 ACP you'll want to use it to shoot yourself because of that terrible decision.

I have a Taurus PT745 that I love. It feeds what I give it and haven't had any problems with it. I carry it every day in a Supertuck at 3:30. Yes, some Taurus pistols have problems, but if you go to any forum (Glock, S & W etc) you will find flaws in all makes and models.
Taurus seems to get a bad rap from most folks, and I'm sure back in the day, they were probably junk. But now they make some of the best handguns for a low price you can find.
As far as an ankle holster, I don't know about that one. Fully loaded at 10 + 1 may be a little heavy.
Go with what you are comfortable with and what you can afford, don't listen to all the others. I didn't and have no regrets.

I have 3 Taurus pistols: PT145 3rd gen and 24/7 Pro C DS in .45 ACP, 24/7 Pro C DS in 9mm. All 3 have been great with no problems.
I pocket carried the PT145 sometimes with an Uncle Mike's pocket holster but most of the time when I carried it, I used a tuckable IWB holster. It comes with two 10rd mags but it also works well with the 24/7 .45 12rd mags. A thing about it that we need to be aware of is because of its compact size and the recoil of the .45 ACP rounds, it would jam easily when limpwristing. It's my EDC gun but in the summer, I prefer the SR9c. If you purchase the PT145, make sure it's a 3rd generation one.

I know alot of people don't like the Taurus, but to be honest the ones that I have PT101 .40, 24/7 pro ds .45, pt609 9mm,and the 740 slim have all functioned flawlessly. My favorite is the 24/7 .45 I love shooting that one. You can find some good buys on used guns in other brands also if your on a budget like me.

I'd find a police trade in Glock before I'd buy a Taurus. Just an idea to put out there.

$365.00 here.
