A friend of our family is a successful Surgeon with a health gun collection. He once told me that if he could only have one revolver, it would be his Judge. He didn't put much faith in the effectiveness of any of the .410 cartridges, but he said it was extremely accurate with .45 colt loads, and the ability to use .410 was just icing on the cake.

*edit*

And that does actually surprise me a bit given the long travel before the bullet actually hits the rifling. But, I don't think he was lying to me, lol.

Incorrect. Taurus actually advises against the use of +P loads in the Judge series revolvers:

Quote:
From page 9 of the Taurus manual:

“Plus-P’, “PIus-P-Plus” or other ultra or high velocity ammunition generates
pressures significantly in excess of the pressures associated with standard
ammunition. Such pressures may affect the useful life of the firearm or
exceed the margin of safety built into many revolvers and could therefore be
DANGEROUS.
