I did the same thing. Came real close to buying the Taurus 92. But for a little more, why get the knockoff when you can get the original.

i give the info i have about taurus never once saying the op was trying to buy the gun for himself also i clearly stated that i am not saying all taurus guns are bad i get told i annoy the op, he must not have read all the posts clearly.no big deal my opinion is steal the same.

I have an older Taurus 92 and a Beretta about the same age.

The finish on the Taurus is wearing a little more. I inherited the Taurus fairly new and after a few hundred rounds the locking block broke. I replaced the part and years later it is flawless. The Taurus shoots better IMHO.

From what I've read the locking block is an issue on the Beretta as well.

Have himGet the springer, I own a Taurus semi, it's fine, I'd rather have the springer.
