Taurus 24/7 pro
I am looking for some insite on the 24/7 pro 45 acp. Any one know of any problems?

Google is your friend.

I bought a new 24/7 Pro a few years ago and the trigger started malfunctioning within the first week. It had to go back to Taurus and they had it for 12 weeks. I sold it at a loss as soon as I got it back and I will never own another polymer Taurus again...

(Yes, I did tell the buyer about the warranty repair but they wanted it anyway)

I have a buddy that bought one recently (I believe about 3 months ago) anyway it's a been a good gun for him hasn't had any malfunctions. I thought about getting me one but I have to wait till my house quits breaking before i can make a new purchase for anything.

Hey thank you for the replies. I will consider it a little further.

I had a 24/7 in 9mm which is now in the hands of my son, never a problem with it. I have a newer one in .45 and the only "problem" is that it really doesn't like to feed lead SWC bullets, but loves "standard" FMJs. Also no problem with JHPs but haven't shot enough of them to really judge them. A lot of 1911's have similar "digestive problems" so I'm not all that concerned. My Springfield GI does a little better but it too isn't perfect.

The Taurus is my bedside pistol (joining a 12 ga pump to round out the "emergency equipment") so I'm confident.

I have a couple of freinds that have them and they've been pretty satisfied. Clearly more "lemons" slide through QC at Taurus than most other places, but the 24/7 is a generally respected platform, especially given the price.

I have no bad first hand experiences with Taurus, but I'd opt for a "like new" XD45 for just a few bucks more.

Sorry...Mine is chambered in 9MM. Sweet shooter, though!
