You know, I just looked at the link you provided & I think it is a nice looking little gun. The frame indicates that it was Made in The USA, and if you like it Guy, that is all that matters

If it was me I would grab a little 22 revolver for plinking and then maybe a keltec p3at for CCW. As far as bashing taurus, well I have had great luck with them. Truth be told the few problems I did have were of my doing. I have a pheonix 22 and its fun to shoot. Lets face it though if you pull the trigger and its doesn't blow up in your face then to me its fun to shoot!!!

While I don't like 22's for a defense weapon if that's what you want I see no reason why you shouldn't have it. Taurus is not the same company they where 20 years ago. My Taurus 1911's are well built, reliable, and accurate. I have no first hand knowledge of that particular pistol but reports seem to be pretty good about it. Inexpensive does not always mean cheap. There are several other pistols I'd want o carry before I did that one but it has more to do with caliber than anything.
