Default starsky and hutch

Does anyone know what pistol starsky used in the series? I ask because it looks like a 1911 .45 commander, but in the first episode of the first season when they are checking there gear in hutch's car at the start of shift, starsky says "my berretta check". So that got me thinking. Yeah I know weird question, but hey I need to know!

I did not have a TV when Starsky and Hutch was on the air. Was I cheated of a Life Experience?

you should go pick up the DVD's of them! Fantastic show, the movie gives it no credit, the show had alot of drama and intensity that made you feel for the character's. I am a fan of older t.v. shows and movies, they seem to have more meat to them than alot of the new stuff.

Your link was right on. I had a look back in the past at the semi auto that Dirty Harry used in Sudden Impact. and to think I passed on buying one just like it for $500. New in the box!!!!!!!

Starsky carried a first gen model 59 Smith and Hutch carried a six inch Python. I always thought that Python would be difficult to conceal. Of course the BIG question would be _ What did Huggy Bear carry?
