Springer Customer Service
Usually people only hear when the customer service is bad. So, I thought I would post my recent experience. I just purchased my XDm-45 (http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f59/range-report-45-acp-springfield-xdm-45-a-28825/) and just took it shooting for the second time. The first time I shot 310 rounds and this time after about 100 rounds the gun started jamming on only one magazine. So I marked it and continue firing for another 50 rounds to see if it really was the mag. Well, this one worked fine.
On my way home I called Springfield from my cell phone and described the problem. They took my information the gun's SN and said that they would send me 2 free magazines for my trouble. They did not even want the old mag back. Not a bad deal! |
I'm glad they took care of you. That's they way customer service should be!

I think the spring is the problem as it feels much lighter than the other one. I figure I am going to replace it with this:
Arredondo Extended Magazine Base Pad with Spring +3 Springfield XD 45 Nylon Black - MidwayUSA and make it a range mag. |
That is a sign of a good manufacturer. Congrats.

Excellent! I've had good experiences with their Custom Shop.

That's great to hear! Thanks!

In the M14 world it is fashionable to bag on SAI because they no longer use USGI parts in their rifles.
But the SAI lifetime guarantee applies even if the gun is not owned by the original owner, and their service is usually very fast. And it includes free shipping, each way. SAI is a great company, making some truly excellent products. Thanks for speaking up. |
I have never had to utilize their customer service yet...but this is really great intel to know.
