The Corps is looking at going back to the 45 and they are testing out some models now. I've heard they want to go back to the 1911 but are looking at some other semi-autos. They will be fielded to MARSOC first and then to the rest of the fleet if approved.

Ive read that theres a few Medusa's reserved for special forces...

The MP5 is a special forces 9mm. It's not a handgun though.
