So I wonder if my sears model 25 would be banned. It's tube fed, holds 10 22lr, but it also can shoot 22 shorts which it holds more than 10 of those.

great posts out there guys - but yeah we must wait and see what unfolds in the next state. NYC and CA are def two of the most strict gun right states....so maybe the rest wont be nearly as bad

Be careful about short changing New York LEOs they don't support this nonsense and shouldn't have to put their lives MORE on the line now. We all know the bad guys in NY are as relieved by this news as the Taliban was to hear about our pull-out date in Afghanistan

I just envisioned a Russian mafia underboss in NY laughing his ugly ass off over this.

Just think of all those original German Luger Mags? Entire gun collections will be trashed. Rare Lugers and other high end arms with Snail Drums worth millions of dollars will be ruined. What about legally owned Class III firearms. An M-1927 Thompson Sub Gun that fires 7 times?

Just to highlight the hypocrisy of this administration here is an argument the Obama Justice Department made in regards to another matter. I have taken out the names to make it more interesting. I suspect many lawsuits of this nature will occupy the New York and Federal Courts for years to come.

Quote:

The Justice Department opinion comes at the same time as a lawsuit filed by Center for Constitutional Rights on behalf of XXX saying the ban is
unconstitutional. (Read that lawsuit HERE.)

Article I, Section 9, cl. 3 of the Constitution of the United States "is one
of the crown jewels of the founding instrument of our nation. It explicitly
provides that 'No bill of attainder of ex post facto law shall be passed,'" the suit says, alleging that the ban on federal funding denied XXX due
process of law. "Congress has adjudged XXX guilty of the allegations of fraud, misconduct and other illegal conduct."

The suit alleges that the legislation "reveals a malicious and punitive
intent against, and a singling out of the plaintiffs that arises from the
heavily funded and orchestrated political campaign against the plaintiffs." The suit says that "XXX has been penalized by Congress without an investigation.

XXX was never even the subject of a hearing in Congress."

It deeply saddens me to see people selling their 30 round AR mags out of New York, and not using them.
