I like the SIG 238 as well. A friend of ours(a 71 Y.O. Ret. Lt. Col. who spent a lot of time with "a Green Cookie" on his head), carries one.... exactly what he said,..a Mini 1911!

Well, I had some extra $$ around so I kind of snapped and grabbed a couple new toys. I bought a Walther PPQ M2 9 mm so I could have one 9 in the stable, and not have to pay to shoot my 45s all the time. Then i figured I should own at least one long gun, so I grabbed a Ruger Gunsite Scout 308. Left them at the shop as I was leaving on a work trip out of state, but I'll pick them up and posy some pictures when I get them home.

Nice! Tell us how you like that Walther when you pick her up. I've heard good things about them.

the Officers model is usually a 3.5" barrel. the ones with a 3" barrel are sometimes called a micro 1911.

the Government model has the 5" barrel and the Commander is usually either 4 or 4.25" on the barrel length depending on who makes it. Colt is 4.25". but some others just make them 4" in length.

but speaking about 1911's, hopefully my next 1911 purchase will be a Government model in 38 Super!

Again I'm torn. I really want a .45. I want a Glock 21 for capacity, but I want a 1911 for accuracy and well cause its a 1911 lol, at the same time I want an XDs .45 for concealability.

Just curious what your intended purpose would be for the Glock 21 or 1911? If its range, the 1911 has my vote.

How about the best of both worlds?

The 1911 style Paraordinance P13 .45. holds 13 in the factory magazine, 1 in the chamber and is fairly easy to conceal. We've been shooting Dads for over 15 years and never had a problem with it.

(I know I beat this dead horse all the time, but I love love love this gun.)

Not a Bad one to "love" Bro...

Yesterday at our Range Aside from the SD Ammo Testing, I shot The Range Owner's SIG 228, since she's Well Endowed like my Wife, you'd never know she had It holstered under her Shirt!!! She loves 1911's too(she Ex ARMY EOD!) but when we talked about it, she said the SIG(her's is the 228-or M-11 A-1 in the Navy configuration) has flatter lines then her 1911's,....Hmmm...
We we also using the Spotting Scopes yesterday to call shots on both sides of the Range(Long Gun & Hand gun....)
