Dan Wesson Guardian 9mm
Thats a nice list. I love the Defender but I already have enough sub 3.5" Guns. I'm looking for a 1911 commander sized 9mm next,..As for the shotguns, I don't shoot my 1100 anymore, and i'm getting rid of both my 870's. Last summer We got the Mossberg SA-20, and a few weeks ago I picked up the Catamount Fury II...Pumpguns are great if you can manage NEVER to Short Stroke it. I have not "depended" on a Pumpgun since I was 18...It's better then Throwing Rocks for sure,..But I prefer Semi-Autos, and lots of them are under $450 now...

Ok my list has changed a half dozen times at least in this thread. But here's the current one, in order of most wants:

- S&W 327 PD or S&W 627 or S&W 327 M&P R8 or S&W TRR8 or Taurus 608 (Those are in order, but priority is an 8 shot .357 Magnum Revolver)

- S&W 340 or S&W 340 PD or S&W 340SS or S&W M&P 340 or Ruger LCR or Sig P938 (loved the feel of the P238, but I'm not a huge fan of .380) (those aren't really in any order, just basically whichever I find first for the right price)

- A government sized 1911 in .45 ACP (this would be my first, I know, stone me now)

- Maybe some nice SA revolvers in probably .357 Magnum for CASS down the road. Those are the lowest priority, though.

A) Get a Desert Eagle In 357..(9 instead of 8 shots!)
B) love the "27's" The LCR is Nice, The Wife got the 38+P
C) Love the SIG's. The 938 prob. doesn't recoil any worse then the LC9 or the Smith439....
D) never too late to show some 1911 Love. I may not shoot my 45's much anymore except for very light loads to learn Cowboy Action,..but I still love me my 1911's. gonna get a Commander sized 1911-9mm...

Gov't 1911 is an awesome gun. My Wiley Clapp Commander is sweet, but there is something about the 20 something year old Colt gov't that just feels right. I bought it used, and either the previous owner cared for it deeply or it is a special gun. Either way, a Gov't 1911 is high on my list.

Picked up a PC 327 TRR8 recently, $750. I LOVE that weapon. Shoots like a kitty cat with .38spl. I chose the TRR8 over the R8 because I can remove the bottom rail, which I did. If I want to run lights and lasers, a semi is my choice, but it's nice to have the option though. Those PC Smiths are really nice. Next PC for me will be a Model 41, then a snubbie.

A) I hate DEs. I think they're ugly, over-priced, fugly, atrocious, have a terrible warranty (1 year parts and labor? Are you kidding?), too big, and did I mention they're ugly? Oh and they're not a revolver.

B) Yeah I'm a big fan of the 27s and the LCR series. Although truth be told I haven't shot them. But I like the feel of them, and the idea of them.

C) When I held the P238 the other day, for the first time, I fell in love. I went home and learned the P938 isn't very much bigger. In fact I think the biggest difference is in the length of the slide. I was basically sold.

D) I've held a couple 1911s, but unfortunately have never actually shot one. My wife has been hinting about one for my birthday present. I hinted back about a Springfield, one of the GI or close to GI models.

One of my dream guns is a Colt 1911 from the WWI or WWII era. That, and a S&W Model 1917 45ACP revolver, also from the same era.

That's an amazing price for that gun! If I found one for that price I'd snag it up too, provided I was in the market for another gun (meaning I had the funds for it). I like the idea of being able to remove the rails, which is one reason the TRR8 was drawn to me. But honestly it doesn't matter, provided its a Smith. If I find the Taurus 608 for like $400, I might do it, provided its in excellent condition. I would just rather spend the extra money for a brand I know and love, and honestly IMO Smith makes some of the finest revolvers in the world, so the price difference really isn't that bad considering.
