I have my 1911 (Springer loaded) at Alchemy Custom as we speak - with all the $$ being dropped on it, it will be my next "new" gun...

That being said, I also want a Sig P238 - will get that at some point after the 1911 comes back home.

Stopped by my LGS. The current owner is the widow of the original owner, who passed away about 4 years ago. Some of his personal guns come up for sale from time to time. There is one there now.

The price tag is $1200, but I can probably bargain that down SOME. The gun in question? Springfield, 1903A3, barrel dated 1943. Rifle is about 0.5% off of being New In Box condition. Wood is flawless. Metal is beautiful Parkerized- bore is in damn near unfired condition.

Question is- which of my children do I sell? Ah, decisions, decisions......

c3, I vote for the "red-headed stepchild", certainly not the "first born"!

BTW, I'm a stepchild, but a near "bald-headed stepchild"!

I have so many guns, I really don't need another one. That, of course, has never stopped me from getting another. I'm sure there will be another one in a few weeks, there always is.

Need 1911s in 10mm & .38 Super. Always on the lookout for a Shield. Also been looking more at the 224, although I'm not sure why as it's overpriced and not terribly practical (for me anyway).

Loc, I see we are thinking alike on this. Those M11A1s look really good. Two more rounds than the original 228 too!

Good choice. My wife has the full-size and I have the compact.
