I have a Beretta 92 FS, a 1911, a S&W .357 wheel gun and a .22 revolver as "working" guns, along with a smattering "fun" pistols. I just don't have any desire for any more hand-guns.

However, my collection of Mosin-Nagant rifles has a big hole that I need to fill with a Tula PU sniper. (Maybe by Christmas)

I have plenty of guns. I can't think of any gun that I want so bad I would pay full price for it. I have toyed with the idea of buying an S&W X frame. But my money would be better spent a rifle. The X frame is a lot of fun to shoot and they are very accurate. $75 for a 100 rounds of cheap 460 ammo is just to much for plinking. Reloading hunting cartridges is a PITA when supplies are plentiful, unless you want to shoot cast bullets or hollow points.

after shooting a fellow forum members, (TXhillbilly!) AR in 458 Socom, i really wouldlike one now. either a complete rifle or an upper to use on my current AR. it had some thump as far as recoil, but was so much fun to shoot!

It seems like every time I shop for a gun I get something that I wasn't even looking for. I went out yesterday looking for a Remington 700 in 308 and got a smith & Wesson model 10. Maybe I will get a new deer rifle next year.

Good choice. The 700s are a dime a dozen and can be bought anytime. Model 10s don't come along everyday.

The model 10 is the predecessor to all k-frames. I believe the model 13 was the first 357 in the k-frame. Someone please correct me if I am wrong
