Both Great Guns My Friend!!! but if you NEVER shot a DAO before(which the SR45 is-Like my SR9) Try and Find a place to try it out first!

I'm afraid this might be the beginning of a horrible Colt 1911 addiction.

I really enjoy older firearms so I think my next firearm will be a Tokarev TT. Anyone have any suggestions where to get it besides Gunbroker, gunsamerica, or armslist?

Mossberg 500, hopefully with a walnut stock and forend, and a Ruger American rifle in .243. These will be my first shotgun and rifle.

GREAT first guns!

Another good shotgun to look into would be a Remington 870. You can find them similarly priced and they are a lot easier to break all the way down and clean. I work with both the Mossberg 500 and the Remington 870 quite often. They're both great shotguns.

My budget's a little limited since I'm retired, so I guess it'll be a Taurus 709 Slim. Plus, it's easy to conceal, and what I like best is that it's single action after first shot. I'd go for a major brand but nothing is available in the same price range with the same features. Also, my Taurus TCP738 has been fine, since I've figured out which ammo it doesn't like.

Bootsdeal.

I've owned a PT740 slim, my daily ccw, for about two years and I've put over 1000 rounds thru it without a hick up. I have friends with the 709 and they love it. Post pics. Enjoy.
