Thanks! The Security Six was Dad's last Wheelgun before they went to Autoloaders. I also have his P85. After his passing, his two friends who were higher up then him(One capt. & one Dep. Ch.-Dad was an SGT. for 13 yrs. and then a LT his last 6 until he passed) had it engraved with his Name rank & # of yrs of service..and presented to me at his "Retirement" service(he died on sick leave so the P85 was in his locker, he never carried it off duty) where they also dedicated the new Locker rooms for Officers, Inspectors, and supervisors, which were dedicated in his name. His Partner(a fmr. NYPD Det. who was shot 7 times following Mobsters around and recovered enough to leave the NYPD and go Federal) was broken up,..to the point that he didn't talk to anyone for weeks,...and had his wife lock his off duty gun in their safe...they were close.....

I'm looking to build a little "poor man's collection" of police pistols. Working on FEG pistols right now and hope to have at least 4 of them, in different calibers. They are well made, inexpensive pistols ( inexpensive being the key thing to being one of MY collectibles ) .

Since I got to shoot a guy's XDS .45 at the range last week that gun is probably top of the pistol list right now. O/U 12ga is top of the long gun list.

Planning to go look at a XDS this week or weekend. Want something a little smaller for carrying around.

Bought a XDS .45 and a Savage .17HMR GV at a little shop last night. Now the O/U is probably next up but another big bore revolver could easily go to the top of the list.

My wife's dad has one. Ill check but think he's selling it if your interested. He asked if I wanted it but I'm not interested in that behemoth. Too much steel for me. It's extremely accurate but I can't think of any good reason to own it for my own self. It's one of those guns that you should own if u have everything else but IMO its not practical for anything except the occasional shoot out at the sand pit lol. And you better have large hands.

I always tell myself that my next gun is going to be my last purchase for a while but it never seems to work that way. I picked up a Yugo AK47 pistol last week (M85) and also a GSG522 with a drum magazine. Itch scratched for now but for how long?
