Still putting the list together for two AR lowers, one will be a longer range type gun with an 18" plus barrel, other one will either be a 5.56 pistol or 9mm glock lower unless I need a separate lower for glock mags? dwmiller care to clarify?

Eyes peeled for a deal on a kel tec sub2k gen 2 still, I really want to find some cheap pawn shop/private buy finds but have no luck, of course looking for nothing particular which makes it harder.

Yep, it takes a dedicated lower and bolt group. There is a mag block made to convert an ar15 lower to take stick mags, just not Glock mags. Also I've heard nothing but horror stories about it. Its also more expensive than just buying a dedicated lower, go figure.

I'll link in where I got mine, it was an 80%. They also have finished lowers, for not much more. Also a link to the bolt I used. Sprinta has several 9mm barrels on their website, worth a look. Get on their email list, the sales they run are good. My barrel and bolt for the 9mm cost me ~$165 shipped, blem products, combo sale..

Here's a pic of the lower notice the mag well and ejector are different from normal AR's. They come with that ejector and the mag release installed as they are unique parts. All the rest are a standard AR lower parts set.

The upper half door and ejection guard are a little harder to find. I bought mine from JSE. They aren't necessary, but they are part of the cool of a 9mm AR. That's all the difference between an AR9 and AR15 upper. ~$13, cheap enough. They fit on and milspec upper reciever, so get the best priced upper you can find and convert it.
