I just ordered a 10/22 compact and an AGP side folding stock. With the 16 inch barrel and the folding stock this will be one very portable little rifle.

Well it's been a while....but I bought a Bersa Thunder last week...or should I say my wife. bought it for me. A few years ago she bought me a 642 PC which I do carry once in a while. I like the Thunder, so far after about 75 rounds. Quite accurate and it fits nicely IWB. My daily carry is still the Bodyguard 380 and S&W was nice enough to replace my crappy laser with the Crimson Trace kit N/C after the original bit the dust (after 4 years).
I'll probably start carrying the Bersa once I get used to the trigger. I'm carrying it unloaded around the house now to get used to it.
And I SWEAR my next purchase will be a bigger safe.

Default Thinning the Herd so I can Buy ...

Lately, I've been thinking of "thinning the herd" to make room for a new addition.
I have a few choices selected, just depends upon what is currently available.
MY LIST
The 7.62x39mm Howa MiniAction

Inland Manufacturing M1A1 Paratrooper .30 carbine

or
Inland Manufacturing M1 Jungle .30 Carbine

Chiappa Firearms 1892 Mares Leg Pistol .357 Mag 9in 4rd Wood

Chiappa 1892 Von Dutch Mare’s Leg 9-inch barrel .45 Cal
http://gunsoftheoldwest.com/2016/04/chiappa-1892-von-dutch-mares-leg/#mares-leg-lead

The first 3 are for Hunting & the last 2 are for Bear protection while Fishing or panning Gold. Where I live, the Grizzly Bear population has exploded. I currently carry my British Enfield .303 but, it's heavy & cumbersome while fishing / panning.

I highly recommend buying a few Ruger® 10/22® BX-25X2 Magazine
http://www.cabelas.com/product/Ruger-BX-X-Magazine/1545614.uts
I have found them cheaper, elsewhere.
Having 50 rounds is much better than that 10 rd. clip it comes with.
Easier on the fingers when loading !

Just as soon as I get done a few chores, like paying my estimated income tax for the first quarter I am going down to the LGS and pick up a Glock 30s. I am looking to get it and a suppressor and among other things, use it for a nightstand gun. If it is needed, I may just keep this hearing a tad longer.

Whelp....I gone done and did a thing....I jumped back on the Glock bandwagon. I had a gen 4 23 a few years back and absolutely hated it. I tried real hard to make that work but I couldn't. Mostly I think it was the .40 I hated. I was walking through a sporting goods store and noticed they were knocking $50 off the price of all gen 4s, making it the same price as gen 3s. And I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. So I fondled a Gen 4 19 for awhile and while the grip is not ideal I've grown since my last encounter with a Glock. I can work it just fine now. So I took home this little beauty and order a bravo concealment double mag pouch and DOS torsion holster. I'll take it to the range this weekend and run it through its paces.
