I have a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and another in .243 win. They just replaced the .243 with the 6mm Creedmoor so I am now two away from having the full set yet again.

Get the 6.5 Creedmoor RPR - you will not regret it other than hitting the same spot gets kind of boring after awhile. For what it's worth, the .243 with the 26" barrel is a lot of fun as well. I honestly doubt you would regret one in any of the available calibers.

I want a Sig 9mm, a 226 or a 229, DAK preferrably. Next will be a CZ P01 or a Tristar P-100

I just answered this question and I still messed up!
Supposedly some modifications will fix it.

6.5 creedmore seems to be becoming "the in thing".
tell me, what is the difference between that 6.5 Creedmore and the 6.5 x .284?
Powder charges?
FPS?
bullets are what 142 sierra match kings?
what am I missing here?
TIA
Bob

case length.

6.5 Creedmore 1.920 case capacity 52.5 grs. of H2O
6.5-284 Norma 2.170 case capacity 68.3 grs. of H2O

for comparison.
30-06 Springfield 2.494 case capacity 68.0 grs. of H2O

long vs, short action, and more case capacity. the 6.5 Creedmore can be used in the same actions as those for a 308 sized cartridge, where the 6.5-284 Norma will need the long action of those similar to the 30-06 Spring field.

I really don't need a 10 MM caliber handgun. But every time I visit the local gun store that Para-Ord 10 MM Elite Hunter draws my attention?

Picked up a ruger 10/22 carbine today. Always wanted one so I had a plinkster rather than pulling out grandfather's old Stephens.

Wasn't expecting to bring home a gun this weekend but I did, and it wasn't one I was 'planning on getting next'. I found this guy for reasonable price, and thought I would buy it. I have been eyeing up 642's and 442's for a while and had a few guns that I wanted to get before this one.....but I handled this little 638 and fell in love. It fit in my pocket nicely, it has a 'bob' hammer on it, which I didn't think I would like but once I actually handled one I felt that that was the way to for a SA/DA type pocket revolver. The SA will be a nice option. I ordered an Uncle Mike #4 pocket holster for it on Amazon for like $12, had some points to use.

I got home an squeezed off the first 5 shot, I missed the paper twice at 10 yards.....needless to say that next 5 were all with in 5". Need a lot more practice but the recoil wasn't as bad as I thought it would be(this is my first time shooting and having a pocket pistol). I was just shooting 154 grain .38 special. The gun is rated for +P, I picked up a box of it but have not fired it yet.

Smith and Wesson 638 .38 special.
