Thats ok, but I still would have to go with a S&W 500 mag and a roasted whole hog

You can keep your piece of junk S&W 500. Give me an elk roast and a better gun/caliber-freedom arms 83 500 WE.

I have a 4inch, had it and a 10 some time back a guy decided he wanted that 10 more than I did, you sound like you had a bad experiance with one, may I ask what the problem was? other than getting used to the godawful recoil I have had ho trouble, the scope even stayed on the 10, I also like to stay with something that takes mainstream ammo, I did try a BFR didn't like it, if you did have a problem with a 500, I can certainly understand, because I feel about the same about Kimber and Taurus, both ends of the spectrum but both equaly junk, Oh and on the Elk, good choice but we have none around here, that we can shoot anyways, all we got lots of is pigs, cows and deer, LOL

My problem w it is the 500 WE has better BC, and more impact power. Recoil isn't an issue for me-i religiously carry/shoot a 454 cassul. Another problem I have w the 500 s&w is iv had to weld several of the frames back together.
