Bring ENOUGH gun and use it properly!!!!
And you do not 'shot to kill', you shot to 'stop'! But it may be a permanent stop!

I don't have a problem with the .22. I do carry a Colt 1911, .45. I think the important thing to do it to carry.

The more I study this stuff, the more the .357Sig is looking like an attractive alternative to my .45. Cartridge the size of a .40, bullet a little larger than a 9, and muzzle energy second only to a 10mm. G32 at 21.5oz, add a thumb safety, and hmmm.

Guns? What guns? Oh, I haven't seen those since I left my garage door open one night by mistake.

This is not a bad choice, but to say the bullet is larger than a 9 is silly, .002 (.355 verses .357)!
And if you shot 9mm +p+ there is VERY little difference. The Winchester 127 +p+ goes 1285 fps (out of three different guns of mine) so you don't gain much by going to the 357 Sig. Both are basically 357 Mag ballistics (125 gr/127 gr bullet at 1250 to 1400 fps). The good thing is that several platforms are available in 40 and with a simple bbl change you can go to 357 Sig.
