Hard to impress a 23 year old Lance Corporal but she decided I could be her backup in close combat - - - I need a scope for anything over about 100 yards but still hunt squirels with a 22 and a 4 power scope.
I guess it is just the way they fit my hands but my 5906 and 6906 are probably my favorates.

To all those with carry permits allowing you to carry whatever weapon you wish, and you choose to carry a 25, have at it, however i hope you never have to defend yourself with it

I hope not as well, my friend. But that little .25 in the pocket of my shorts will defend me a lot better than my P226 in the safe.

Then stop carrying the 25 and start carrying the 226.

A .25 has got to be a great weapon. Whenever somebody fires a .25 in the movies, it sounds like a Howitzer going off in the distance.

The smallest caliber I'd trust to fire reliably and make a hole in the BG with just the 1st shot is...
FN 5.7x28mm

There's some guy named Angel Alvarez that survived 21 shots with .40 cal. There's another guy in Kentucky recently that killed a man in his house with a single shot from a .22LR to the chest. When I was a kid, I remember a kid that I knew got killed with a pump air rifle. Back then those rifles were weak in comparison to today's air rifles, and the pellets are probably something like 5 grain 17 caliber? It's all about shot placement.
Honestly, the types of people who are out there ready to rob you at gun point are not likely to be good shooters. If you're proficient with your gun, the odds are in your favor to get him down before he gets you down. Situational awareness is important to avoid people getting the jump on you. Profile people, watch out for suspicious characters, be weary of isolated and dark areas; just use your brain. Without it, your gun is useless.

.38 Hornady Critical Defense hollow points. And then I'd place at least two.
I do keep .38 snubby in my truck or sometimes carry it in the summer when wearing shorts.
.45 ACP is prefered and is my usual ccw. (Glock 30)
Because shooting someone twice is just silly.
