Default Single stack 9

I have a Kahr CT380 and a CW45. I want a single stack 9 and the obvious choice would be the Kahr. I'm sure I would be happy with it. The reason I have not already bought one is the new kid on the block. The Honor Defense Honor Guard 9.

I have handled the HG9 several times and like it a lot. I haven't bought one simply because it is new and I am waiting to see what kind of reports come out on it and also what kind of aftermarket support it gets, holsters and such.

Most of the reviews I have read have been good, but they are few. My favorite leather crafter makes holsters for them, but that's about it.

I'm ready to purchase and before I turn my back on the Honor Defense HG9 and purchase the Kahr CW9 I wanted to ask once more if anybody has any personal experience with the Honor Guard.

Have you checked out the Bond Arms 9mm Bullpup yet?
Yes, a bullpup pistol-single-stack 9mm.

I did, and the Glock 43, the Ruger LC9s Pro, and the S&W Shield.

Kind of what I figured. No insight on each Honor Defense.

Kahr inbound.

Buy ether a CT9 or a TP9 . Change the striker spring to a Wolff Reduced Pressure Striker Spring and you can lower the pull weight of the 9mm and 40sw kahrs by 1lb plus . Kahrs are also built as a +P unlike many others . I have a tp40 and have used a 155gr swc at 1280fps for practice and 155gr GD at 1321fps for carry for 7 years with no issues .

The honor guard for its size is wider than a kahr 9mm and the same weight as the larger 4" barrel models .

Might as well but a PT111G2 is it compares closely to it but the PT111G2 is a double stack that has proven itself to be reliable as can be and you can use p226 mags for higher capacity back up mags .

Or for a single stack the taurus 709 has been a good model too

I had a PT709, daughter has a PT111G2. I also had an 809, a PT738, a 24/7, two Millenniums, a 94, a 66 and an 85. The 85 is the only one I still have that has never given me any trouble. The 94 had cylinder binding issues out of the box, the 66 shaved lead, timing issues, out of the box. All the rest ran fine out of the box but developed problems later. The two Millenniums were class action guns, the 738, started dropping magazines after two years of every day carry. The 111, 809, had triggers break, the 24/7 I just wore out, and the 709 functioned 100% but you had to hold about 8 inches high and 5 inches right to hit center of mass.

I can live with things breaking and wearing out, if you can get parts, not send it off for months waiting to get it back. And their customer service sucks, especially after CBC took over.

No more Taurus for me.

CT9 inbound. GOG had them on sale. 355.17 total cost. I'm happy!

Check out the bersa bp9, have had one for a couple of years now and it has never failed, I put about 200 rds of fmj through it first before I tried any kind of hollow points, it handles everything just fine.

Greg_r You should be pleased with your CT9 . I like my kahrs well but as far as your whininess about taurus . I just don't care as ours have been as reliable as can be going back to 1990 !! To many people as it is whine about eveything on forums . Including Kahrs .
