I may have paid a little high but it's worth it to me. I'm extremely happy with it. Wish I had more money to go to the range as often as I'd like

It bought it on Gunbroker, then about 3 weeks later I called the reseller and bought a 2nd one for a friend.

Excellent guns. I own a 226 in .40 and trust it as my bedside gun. Finally got to shoot my buddies new 229 9 mm and really liked it too.

Either will serve you well and the quality, reliability, and accuracy warrant the cost.

Hmmm...

While many states do allow gifting of firearms it's generally considered an illegal, "straw purchase" to buy a handgun in your name with the intent of giving or selling it to someone else. Big No No...

I hope your friend showed up at the FFL for the background check to take possession himself.
