Sig mosquito yay or nay?

Looking at getting the sig mosquito I was wondering if they worked out all the kinks in the newer ones

Maybe they've gotten better. I hope so. But I very rarely hear anything positive about the Mosquito.

Better off with a Ruger SR22, Walther P22, or S&W M&P 22 in similar styles. Or a Ruger or Browning target pistol. Or (if you want a Sig) one of the P220/226/229 "X-change" kits.

By most accounts the Mosquito continues to be a finicky headache of a firearm.

I have one, and I really really like it.I have had it for about 10 months. It has been pretty much trouble free, the only thing it doesnt like is the Federal bulk pack. I ran about 500 rounds of CCI mini mags through it for break in, as recommended. Now I have switched to the Federal Auto Match, which is much cheaper then the mini mags. All in all the feel of the gun is fantastic and I shoot a box of the Auto Match(325 rds) every time I take it to the range without problems.

Its a 500 rd break-in and can be ammo picky.. I do like it though. Its a solid feel and good understudy for the 226-229!

There must be something in the water if two Rhode Islanders like this gun in the same post!

My Mosquito isn't problematic at all, unless, I shoot ammo other than CCI Mini Mags or Remington Thunderbolts. It shoots these with no malfunctions what soever. I has shot them well since I got the gun, no "break-in" period required on mine. I am going to trade it in on a revolver of some sort though. I just don't like the fact that the slide is made of zinc alloy, and it isn't very accurate.

I hear mixed feelings about it but I can't talk because I have never shot one...It's a cool looking little gun though.

I have a Sig Mosquito and I have ran into a few issues with different ammo. Nothing too major, but when you find the correct ammo that will work great, it is a wonderful shooter.
