They're 22lr, that's just their brand naming, probably because they're high velocity. They shoot as well and accurate as any from what I've found. Also found Remington Subsonics to be good reliable ammo for standard velocity.

I have a Ruger Mark II and I just shoot Federal red box bulk ammo. Never had a problem.

Absolutely get it.

The Nambu-style slide lends the gun to

attaching a scope. Dead-on at 50 yards,

and outrageous plinking fun at 75 to 100 yards.

My favorite pistol, hands down, at the range is my

Ruger MK II with the 6-3/4" bull barrel, scoped.

Awesome I was gonna get extra mags some mechanix wear gloves and ear pro, and obviously ammo, anything else needed??
