Search for Small CCW

I presently carry a Glock Model 27 40 Cal. Pistol for CCW.
But I am looking to get a smaller good quality Pistol to carry mostly during the summer time in a pocket or similar location. Otherwise easy to hide small, light and certainly 100% reliable! What would you recommend. As well as do you own one? And how many rounds and what type of ammunition have you fired through it.

Of all the handguns I have (and have had) the one that fits that role the best for me ins the Walther PPS. Mine is a 9mm version (I opted for that over .40 to gain one round in capacity). It is the slimmest, most concealable, lightest handgun I own and it is 100% reliable and ridiculously accurate, specially for a gun of this size. Most of the time I pocket carry it with the flush mag which gives me 6+1 capacity (I carry the spare 7 round mag in my off pocket) but I also tuck it into my pants or hang it off my belt with a good holster and a t-shirt over it. I just forget it is there.

Do you own or shot a Solo?

Kimber makes some great firearms but they missed the mark on this POS!

Kahr PM9 or save bills and go with their newer CW9.

My PM9 has been 100% reliable-500 rounds through it.
6+1 9mm w/flush mag
7 w/entended mag

Carried in Kahrs belly band iwb strong side it's completely undetectable.

I like my Kel-Tec PF9.

I'd ck out the Kahr or KelTec in 9mm. If 380 is a consideration ck out the S&W Bodyguard 380. It has the best sights of the group, and can be swapped out if desired.

I also carry the Kahr PM9 and I love it.

I've been happy with my PF9. It digests HPs like a champ. I carry standard pressure 115/124gr Hornady defense ammo in it. It's a great carry gun for under $300, light and concealable in any attire. But it does have a little bit of a cheapo feel to it and should never be confused for a high volume shooter. It's exclusively a convenient carry gun. Expect more of it than that, and you'll be disappointed.

The Ruger LC9 is a similar gun to the PF9. A bit newer, heavier, pricier, and probably more rugged. Various models from Kahr as well as the Walther PPS would be the next step up in quality, IMO. And then on the really expensive end ($1000+) you've got Rohrbaugh R9.

That's about it for micro 9mms. Sig makes the P290, and most people have been unimpressed. The Kimber Solo Carry drew my attention for sure. I went so far as to reserve the first one that came into my LGS. It still hasn't arrived. And with all the kinks these guns have endured, I've since cancelled my dibs. I think this Kimber could eventually be an ideal carry gun...but not just yet.
