most of what i have are a pretty good selection and none of what i have, isn't something i don't enjoy owning and shooting. somtimes, i think back and reflect on guns i wish i had bought, but didn't and some i wish i hadn't gotten rid of.

i think if i had to do over, i might have a few more revolvers and a few more 1911's for sure. maybe a few more lever action rifles as well.

I rushed out and bought an AR10 while waiting for components to come in on my STAG AR15 build. To do it over again I would not have rushed it and built a custom AR10 just as I did with my STAG. This is not a knock on my AR10 ... just that I would have preferred the satisfaction of building one instead

Outside of that I have no regrets on the firearms I have chosen to purchase

my regret is that AR parts are in short supply and overpriced that i wish i had bought the parts last year, instead of putting it off!

If I could somehow go back armed with the knowledge that I have now - and do anything over related to guns.

It would only be one thing...

I would go back to my apartment in Albany, GA in 1986 and lay in wait for the SOB that broke in and stole my pristine/mint, high polish stainless, Colt Python (6" barrel).
I still kick & slap myself for losing and allowing this gun to get away from me (although there was no way that I could have known at the time - but being able to "go back" as you say???). It has never been recovered & I want another one but just cannot bring myself to take the $$ hit (especially knowing that I paid about $600 for mine in the early '80's - compared to what they go for now).

That's what I would do....
