Yes, the CPX-1 is probably a Kel-Tec P-11 clone if anything and has been around since 2005. FYI, the P-11 began production in 1995 and the LC9 didn't come out until 2011. If anything, the Ruger is a knock off of the SCCY and Kel-Tec! OTOH, I would consider the Ruger to be a superior gun to either of the other two. As to one gun being a copy of another, I don't hear many complaints that a Kimber, Deltonics or SIG version of the Colt 1911 is a "copy" or an AR built by S&W, Bushmaster or Stag is a knockoff of the original Armalite designed by Stoner.

I purchased a cpx-1 3 years ago and it is still my primary gun. I have ran around a 1000 rounds through it so far. Only problem I had was the guide rod would occasionally get stuck in reassembly, but I contacted sccy and received an improved one in less than a week. From what I've seen they have made many improvements over the original design and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap but reliable carry gun.

I just got mine from Cheaper Than Dirt for $259 shipped. I got it for Summer carry. I am satisfied with the quality.

It comes with a lifetime warranty.

Guntorturetests put over 6000 rounds before a replaceable part broke.

Dude, kel tec has been around longer than sccy. Thanks for your useless rant without any backing to why the gun is crap. You have accomplished nothing except showing your ignorance to this forum. You decide....

I have been eyeing one myself. The cpx2 as I have no need for an manual safety. They have been made for almost 10 years now and that alone almost speaks for itself. I really want to get one in my hands and get a feel. If its anything like the KelTec ill save my money. Personally the only real thing I don't like it the little plastic doohickey on the slide lock. It looks like its just waiting for an opportunity to work its way loose and disappear.
