Default S&w sw40ve...good, bad or ugly??

Hi everyone,
Considering buying a S&W SW40VE, but don't as yet have any info and couldn't find any threads. I know it would be a good thing if I can possibly rent & try it out. I'm hoping to do that someplace soon, but would like to get as much feedback from everyone as I can. It seems to be a nice pistol at a great price, see link: S&W SW40VE .40SW Black/Stainless $289.00 SHIPS FREE
Any Info or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Search for "Sigma" and you'll find tons of threads.

Good reliable gun with a terrible trigger about sums it up...

NGIB pretty much said it.
I had one, it was a very good, reliable gun. A lot of people moan and groan about the trigger pull being hard and nasty, but it never bothered me. IMO there are plenty of guns out there right now with triggers far worse than the Sigma.

There is one in the Classified section.

Mine is great. Though it is "The Worlds Greatest Sigma"™ Free Pic.

I have one in .40 cal and love it. Thousands of rounds through it and the only thing I have done was send it in to smith for a new guide rod and spring, and they went ahead and put a new extractor on it also! Great customer service! Trigger is a little hard, but you get used to it, I shoot very well with it and also the hard trigger pull for me is a extra peice of mind when carrying the pistol.
