I have a pre-WWII S&W I frame, five shot that I'm working on. I have it disassembled with the exception of the spring and screw that works the cylinder catch (Just in front of the trigger guard). I've tried soaking in PBBlaster and WD 40 but can't work it loose. Any suggestions before I drill it and have to increase the screw size?

Product called KROIL, made by Kano Labs. Penetrating oil on steroids. Dab on, let set 24 hours. Be sure you are turning screw the correct direction. There is also a spray version called Aero Kroil. Stuff is not cheap, but works like nothing else.

Sounds great! I'll try that today. This revolver is in good shape otherwise and being so small will make a great pocket piece.
