Default Ruger SR9 case extractor fading

So my new SR9 extractor is fading, never been holstered, or shot...only been racked with dummy rounds roughly 100 times, has this happened to anyone else? it looked awful so I decided to put the dremel to it, 10 minutes and here it is...sorry I didnt take before only after pic, let me know what you think...
